What Is a Good Click Through Rate?

ad rank formulaaverage ctr

What’s the average click-through rate for a Google AdWords ad? When people ask this question, it’s often because they want to benchmark their own ad CTR’s. Unfortunately, way too many advertisers are content to reach an average click-through rate and leave it at that.

Facebook "Lead Ads" New Marketing Revolution

Lead ads make the mobile signup process easier by automatically populating contact information that people have given Facebook, like email addresses. We’re testing different versions of lead ads that would let people sign up for things like newsletters, price estimates, follow-up calls and business information.

The lead ads that we’re testing use a native signup flow within Facebook. This helps avoid a lot of the pain points usually associated with filling out forms, like having to leave one app and start a form in another app, and having to enter all of their information from scratch. Just a few taps and people are done.

Like our other ad formats, we’ve built this ad type with privacy in mind. People can edit their contact information, and information isn’t sent to the business until a person clicks the “submit” button. Advertisers may only use this information in accordance with their privacy policies, which we make available in the lead ad before people click submit. Advertisers are also restricted from re-selling lead information to third parties.
The current test of lead ads is limited to a small group of businesses around the world. We’ll share more information about lead ads as we gather feedback.

Android TV is a smart TV platform developed by Google

Android TV is a smart TV platform developed by Google. Running the Android 5.0 ("Lollipop") operating system, it creates an interactive television experience through a 10-foot user interface. It was announced on June 25, 2014, at Google I/O 2014 as a successor to Google's earlier attempt at smart TV, Google TV.

Android TV can be built both into TVs and into stand-alone digital media players. Users have access to the Google Play Store to download Android apps, including media streaming services Netflix and Hulu, as well as games. The platform emphasizes voice search to quickly find content or to answer queries (such as which movies were nominated for an Academy Award in a specific year). The TV interface is divided vertically into three sections: recommendations on top (which update based on viewing habits), media apps in the middle, and games on the bottom. The interface can be navigated using a game controller, remote control, or the Android TV mobile app.Android TV also supports Google Cast, the technology behind Google's media player Chromecast that allows a mobile device to be used to select and control media playback on a TV.

Google has partnered with Sony, Sharp, and TP Vision to offer the platform in TVs, while Razer and Asus plan to release media players with a focus on gaming.

Implementing the New Matrix Management

The future of organizational success
How’s your organization functioning?  Every organization, whether formally or informally is a matrix. Matrix management is more than just organizational and reporting structure, and management happens in more than one dimension. Changes must be made at all levels of the organization, not just the vertical level.

Understanding Conversion Tracking

Conversion Tracking is a free tool that shows you what happens after a customer clicks on your ads -- whether they purchased your product, signed up for your newsletter or filled out a form to receive more information.

By tracking these actions, known as "conversions," you'll know which ads, keywords and campaigns bring you business. This helps you invest more wisely in the best ones and ultimately, boost your return on investment (ROI).

The Offline Solution

With the AdWords Conversion Import feature, the seller can add the sale into the system long after the original click has occurred. This can be weeks later but the conversion can still be followed.

This also allows companies to track repeat customers by recording a conversion online and then tracking additional sales which may occur offline. In this way, businesses can increase their reach by better understanding how their target market is reacting to their advertising.
