Kashmiri Mutton Yakhni refers to a meat curry that include two main ingredients meat and yoghurt boiled continuously for a very long time to produce a rich delicious aromatic flavour.
Kashmiri Yakhni is a Persian yoghurt based meat curry that came to Kashmir during Akbars rule but also found in Greek and Turkish cuisines.
Ingredients
1 Kg Chopped Mutton
100-150 gm Oil
1 gm Hing
1 Badi Elaichi/Black Cardamom
1/2 Teaspoon Dried Ginger Powder
5 Tablespoon Saunf Powder/Fennel Seed Powder
5 Laung/Clove
2 Tablespoon Safaid Zeera/Cumin Seeds
1 Green Cardamom
350-500 gm Yoghurt (curd)
2 Teaspoon Salt(1kg mutton)
